Nobody in my life is answering their phones, so...
I was just accepted to (and funded at) what I would say is the top program in my field.
There are not many times in my life that I have physically shook as the result of news, but this is definitely one of those times. I’m completely freaking out.

I am about to have a phone meeting with the DGS at the school that accepted me and is flying me out in a couple of weeks. I am nervous as all get out and run.

One of the 4-6 blue jays that come to my balcony on a daily basis has a deformed bill. He seems to manage okay and can still pick up the shelled peanuts I put out. As long as the bill doesn’t get worse, I assume he will be fine. But… I still want to cry every time I see him. I hope the other jays are nice to him.
